World Book Day Costumes

World Book Day is on Thursday 5th March this year and no doubt you want to dress up your little one in a cute little outfit to put in their memory book! If you are still looking for the perfect costume, we have a summary of some of the best outfits around so that you have all your inspiration in one place!

From Mary Poppins to Willy Wonka we have you covered!

For those of you who have not come across World Book Day before, it is a celebration of reading to give every child a book of their own. This years theme is to 'Share a Million Stories' and you can be part of this reading revolution by heading over to their website.

The supermarkets have a great selection, Sainsburys have two of our favourite characters - Peter Rabbit and his sister, Flopsy Bunny! Their Elmer costume is also adorable, making it hard to settle on just one outfit for your little one!

Over at Asda, there are also some fantastic choices at reasonable prices, especially if your little one isn't a huge fan of dressing up meaning there is a high probability of wearing it only once or twice! Eeyore has got to be worth a mention, and the fact there are adult costumes of some characters to match the little ones can't go unnoticed for those who love dressing-up the same as their mini-me's...fancy being Mary Poppins for the day?!

Party Delights have it nailed this year with their World Book Day Outfit selection. With 12 different themes on their website from Julia Donaldson, David Walliams, Roald Dahl and Fairytales. They even have a category especially for teachers, check out Willy Wonka! Julia Donaldson is our favourite author to read to our little girl at the moment, so The Gruffalo, Stick Man and Zog would all be top of her list. Personally, I love the Fantastic Mr. Fox outfit.

Whatever you choose to dress up your little one as this World Book Day, we hope you have a lovely day and are able to contribute to sharing a million stories!
